He saw it on the shelf. He thought about it. He did it anyway.

Not out of anger. Not for attention. Just because he's lived long enough to know that some things deserve to be on the floor, and he's the only one in this house with the conviction to follow through.

The eyes say everything. He's seen things. He's been places. He regrets the shelf situation exactly as much as he planned to, which is not at all.
